2、e,HirosakiUniversity,Hirosaki036,JapanAbstract.Diarrheavirusofinfantmice(DVIM)isamemberofmurinehepatitisviruses(MHVs).Thenucleotidesequencesofthegenesencodingthehemagglutinin-esterase(HE)andthespike(S)glycoproteinsfromDVIMweredeterminedandcomparedwiththoseofotherMHVs.Thededucedaminoacidsequ
3、enceoftheHEproteinwasmostsimilartothatofMHV-Sstrain(94%identity),andtheSproteinsequencewasmostsimilartothatofMHV-Ystrain(90%identity).TheDVIMHEproteinhasauniqueN-linkedglycosylationsiteinadditiontootherglycosylationsitescommontomanyMHVstrains.UnlikeinsometypicalMHVstrain,suchasMHV-A59andMHV

6、ttheSglycoproteinforMHV-A59orentericmurinecoronavirusesthatpossessbothMHV-JHMplaysanimportantroleinattachmentofhemagglutinatingandacetylesteraseactivities(4,5).thevirustothecellularreceptorandthatitinducesItinfectstheintestinaltractsandcausesdiarrheainmembranefusionforviruspenetration(10).I
