3、tionalimmediately.1.Weunderlinethatclimatechangeisoneofthegreatestchallengesofourtime・Weemphasizeourstrongpoliticalwilltourgentlycombatclimatechangeinaccordaneewiththeprincipleofcommonbutdifferentiatedresponsibilitiesandrespectivecapabilities.ToachievetheultimateobjectiveoftheConvent

4、iontostabilizegreenhousegasconcentrationintheatmosphereatalevelthatwouldpreventdangerousanthropogenicinterferencewiththeclimatesystem,weshall,recognizingthescientificviewthattheincreaseinglobaltemperatureshouldbebelow2degreesCelsius,onthebasisofequityandinthecontextofsustainabledevel

5、opmen匚enhaneeourlong-termcooperativeactiontocombatclimatechange.Werecognizethecriticalimpactsofclimatechangeandthepotentialimpactsofresponsemeasuresoncountriesparticularlyvulnerabletoitsadverseeffectsandstresstheneedtoestablishacomprehensiveadaptationprogrammerincludinginternationals

6、upport.2.Weagreethatdeepcutsinglobalemissionsarerequiredaccordingtoscience,andasdocumentedbytheIPCCFourthAssessmentReportwithaviewtoreduceglobalemissionssoastoholdtheincreaseinglobaltemperaturebelow2degreesCelsius,andtakeactiontomeetthisobjectiveconsistentwithscieneeandonthebasisofeq

7、uity.Weshouldcooperateinachievingthepeakingofglobalandnationalemissionsassoonaspossible,recognizingthatthetimeframeforpeakingwillbelongerindevelopingcountriesandbearinginmindthatsocialandeconomicdevelopmentandpovertyeradicationarethefirstandoverriciingprioritiesofdevelopingcountriesa
