3、uctionpart,hediscusseswhyvocabularyteachingwasneglectinginthepastandhowitbecamemoreandmorecrucialforthepresent.Inthepast,peoplebelievethatknowingwordsandtheirmeaningsarenotenough,andlearnershavetoknowhowthewordsworktogetherinEnglishsentences.Gradually,theytendtopayattentiontothelearningofvocabu
4、lary.Fortheultimategoaloflanguagelearningistocommunicate.Vocabularyisthebasicelementofcommunication.Withoutgrammar,thecommunicationmaybeinterfered,butwithoutvocabulary,there’snocommunicationatall.Knowinghowsignificantthevocabularyis,theauthortellssomeveryeffectivewaysofteachingvocabulary.Accord
