1、TheAmericanCivilWar(1861–1865)Background:TheAmericanCivilWar(1861–1865),alsoknownastheWarBetweentheStatesandseveralothernames,wasacivilwarintheUnitedStatesofAmerica.ElevenSouthernslavestatesdeclaredtheirsecessionfromtheUnitedStatesandformedtheConfederateStatesofAmeri
2、ca(theConfederacy).LedbyJeffersonDavis,theyfoughtagainsttheUnitedStates(theUnion),whichwassupportedbyallthefreestatesandthefiveborderslavestates.Unionstateswerelooselyreferredtoas"theNorth".AbrahamLincolnJeffersonDavisThefirstphaseThebeginningofthewarfarexceedsthestr
3、engthoftheNorthSouth.ButtheSouth'smilitaryisfullyprepared,withallthetraining,equipment,andmoresophisticatedmilitary.LincolnintheearlyyearsofwarcivilwaraimistorestoretheunityoftheSouthandtheNorth,theslavesystemthatwilltouchsomeofthebordertotheSouth,slavesrebelside,whi
4、chlosttheborderstatesofthisstrategicallyimportantregions.BecausethegovernmentrefusedtodeclaretheliberationoftheNorthernslaves.Therefore,inthefirstphaseofthecivilwar,theNorthsuffereddefeatinthemilitary.Thesecondphase1862,Lincolnissuedthepreliminary"liberateblackslaves
5、Declaration."Announced:IftheJanuary1,1863beforetheSouthrebelsdonotlaydowntheirarms,therebelslavestatessincethedayitwillbefree.NewsspreadtotheSouth,thousandsofslavesfledtothenorth.TheBritishworkingclasshaslaunchedacampaigntosupportthenorth,forcingtheBritishgovernmentt
6、oabandontheoriginalplantointerfere.Result:In1863,theNorthernmilitaryturn.ThesameyearonJuly1Gettysburgvictory,TerminatorVJ28,000peopleandbecameaturningpointinthecivilwar.Onthebattlefieldinitiativeinthehandsofthearmytothenorth.Meanwhile,alsointhesouthofinternaloppositi
