4、noflingeringissuesinthefoundationsofquantummechanics,suchaswave-particleduality,Heisenberg'suncertaintyrelation,Schrodinger'sCatparadox,firstandhigherordercoherenceofphotonsandatoms,virtualparticles,theexistenceofcommutationrelationsandquantizedbehavior,etc.,arealsopresente
5、d.INTRODUCTIONSinceitsveryinception,quantummechanicswasplaguedatitsfoundationwiththeso-called“interpretationproblem”.Unlikeaclassicalmeasurement,theresultofaquantummeasurementingeneralcanonlybepredictedinaprobabilisticsense.Thequantummechanicalwavefunctionisthemostquantita
6、tiveresultfromaquantumcalculation,andonecanhopeforadefinitiveansweronlyifthemeasurementistowardsaneigenvalueofasystemalreadysettledontoitscorrespondingeigenstate.Ifthisisnotso,theunderlyingsystemisassumedtosubsequently“collapse”ontoaneigenstateofthemeasurementoperator,witht
