5、hedeclineofWapitiRiverwatershedArcticGrayling(Thymallusarcticus)populations.Dataondiurnaldissolvedoxygen(DO),chemicalandphysicalstreamhabitatdatawerecollectedinninesub-watershedsoftheWapitiRiverwithhistoricallyabundantArcticGraylingpopulations.Levelsandfluctuat
6、ionsofDOandtemperaturewererelatedtothestatusofpopulations;fiveoftheninestreamshadhighertemperaturesandlowerDOduringsummer,anoxicconditionsduringwinterandextirpatedpopulations.Amountofdisturbedlandandroaddensitywithinsub-watershedswereinverselyrelatedtoDOlevelsa
7、ndpopulationstatus.Cumulativeeffectsmodellingsuggestsapossiblemechanismfortheserelationshipsisincreasedphosphorousrunoff,leadingtoimpairedhabitat.TheserelationshipsandthresholdsmaybeusedasamanagementtooltomaintainorrestoreArcticGraylingandotherstreamfishes.53LA
