3、hasbeendemonstratedthatimpairmentofarterialfunctionandstructureisthecommonpathologicalbasicofbothhypertensionandhypertension-relatedtargetorgansinju哆Endothelialdysfunctionisinvolvedintheinitiationanddevelopmentofatherosclerosisandimpairmentofarterialelas
4、ticityisthestrongandindependentpredictorofcardiovascularandcerebrovascularevents.Arterialelasticity,alsocalledarterialcompliance,reflectsthediastolicfunctionofartery,dependingonthediameter,stiffnessandtheexpansibilityofartery.Itisnotonlyassociatedwiththe
5、leftventricleaflerload,systolicbloodpressure,diastolicbloodpressureandpulsepressure,butalsoreflecttheendothelialfunctionequally.Variouscardiovascularriskfactorssuchashypertension,hyperlipaemia,hyperglucose,smokingandaging,allcandecreasearterialelasticity
