1、OnChinese-characterizedTranslationofLoanwordsAbstract:Thispaper,bydiscussingtheapproachestotheChinese-characterizedtranslationoftheloanwordsfromEnglish,triestoexploretheregulationsfromthemodemChineselanguagecharacteristicsandtheunderlyingcognitivepsychologyoflanguageint
2、heabsorptionoftheloanwords.Asformethodsconcerningelementofsemantictranslation,halftransliterationandhalfsemantictranslationaswellastransliterationpluscategorymarkersreflectprinciplesofpopularityandsinicizationtosomedegreeandtransliterationplusChinesecoinagerevealsthenee
3、dofspecializationandsinicization,sotheycanbeconsideredasnextsatisfactory.Thoughtakingthelargestproportion,pureorcompletetransliteration(31.5%)andtranscription(24.7%)aretheleastmethodtoresort.ItaimstofosterbetterunderstandingandabsorptionoftheEnglishloanwords.Thethesisco
