1、OnChinese-characterizedTranslationofLoanwordsAbstract:Thispaper,bydiscussingtheapproachestotheChinese-characterizedtranslationoftheloanwordsfromEnglish,triestoexploretheregulationsfromthemodemChineselanguagecharacteristicsandtheunderlyingcognitivepsychologyoflanguageintheabsorptionof

2、theloanwords.Asformethodsconcerningelementofsemantictranslation,halftransliterationandhalfsemantictranslationaswellastransliterationpluscategorymarkersreflectprinciplesofpopularityandsinicizationtosomedegreeandtransliterationplusChinesecoinagerevealstheneedofspecializationandsiniciza

3、tion,sotheycanbeconsideredasnextsatisfactory.Thoughtakingthelargestproportion,pureorcompletetransliteration(31.5%)andtranscription(24.7%)aretheleastmethodtoresort.ItaimstofosterbetterunderstandingandabsorptionoftheEnglishloanwords.Thethesiscontributesmainlyintwoaspects:1)thewaytheyar
