2、eadinginanEnglishclassroom.Inmiddleschools,therearemanyproblemstoteachingofreading:readingefficiencyislow,readingspeedisslow;poorreadinghabits;difficultmaterials;studentsdon’tlikereading,andstudentsdon’tunderstandmanywordsinreading.InthedevelopmentoftheEnglishteachingofreading,th
3、erearemanywaystosolvetheproblems,suchasspecialscientificin-classtraining,reducetheintensivereadingtime;stressingtheuseofpreviousknowledgeoftextstructureandcontentandsoon.Dependingonthedifferentpurposesforreading,differentreadingstrategiesshouldbeemployed.Youwilllookatfourmainstra
4、tegiesoftenusedbyefficientreaders:orientatingyourselftothetext,skimming;scanningforspecificinformationanddetail;identifyingmainandsupportingideas;identifyingandunderstandingargument.Youalsolookconsiderinteachingofreading:vocabularyinreading,usingliteraturetosolveculturalproblems;
