7、reader'smindthatheorsheuses,andthat,inturn,mayberefinedandextendedbythenewinformationsuppliedbythetext.Readingisthusviewedasakindofdialoguebetweenthereaderandthetext.CarrollandEisteerhold(1983)concludedthat(1)ourunderstandingofreadingisbestconsideredasaninte
