1、19–PAINTING&COATINGSSPECIFICATIONScopeThissectioncoversthespecificationof:·paintsystemsforinternalandexternalapplications·paintsystemsforstructuralsteelwork·paintsystemsforenhancedfireprotectionsImportantNotetoUsersofthisSpecificationandAssociatedDrawingsUseoftheSpecificationandDrawin

2、gsThissamplespecificationandtheassociateddrawingsarepreparedinelectronicformat,withtheexpressintentionthatdesignerswilleditthemtosuittheparticularrequirementsofspecificconstructionprojects.Howeverthedesign,constructionandcostingofstructuresmustbecarriedoutbyqualifiedandexperiencedarch

3、itects,engineersandbuilders.Theauthors,publishersanddistributorsofthisspecificationandtheassociateddrawingsdonotacceptanyresponsibilityforincorrect,inappropriateorincompleteuseofthisinformation.Inparticular,thecontentsofthisspecificationandtheassociateddrawingsarebasedonIndianStandard

4、sandtheNationalBuildingCodeofIndiainforceatthetimeofpreparation.Architects,engineersandbuildersshouldmakethemselvesawareofanychangestothesestandardsandregulations,andshouldamendthespecificationandassociateddrawingsaccordingly.Theauthors,publishersanddistributorsofthisspecificationandt

5、heassociateddrawingsdonotacceptanyresponsibilityforincorrectinformationprovidedbyproductsuppliers.Architects,engineersandbuildersshouldsatisfythemselvesthatinformationonspecificproductsiscorrect,bycontactingtheparticularsuppliers.BasisoftheSpecificationandDrawingsAllbuildingconstructi

6、onmustcomplywiththerelevantStateBuildingRegulations,whicharesetoutintheNationalBuildingCodeofIndiaNBCI.Thisprovideforcompliancethrough:·AlternativeSolutions,or·Deemed-to-SatisfyProvisions,whichmayinclude:oAcceptableConstructionManuals,and/oroAcceptableConstructionPracticeInthepreparat

7、ionofthesespecificationsanddrawings,thefollowingconventionhasbeenadopted.·OverallcompliancewiththeNBCIisrequired.·SpecificationsanddrawingsrelyprincipallyonIndianStandardstoprovidecompliance.·WherethereisnoparticularIndianStandardsprovisionandtheNBCIdoesprovideanAcceptableConstruction
