2、andprocessedbythesystem.Thevariationsintheroundtriptime-of-flight(RTOF)oftheultrasonicpulseallowtodetectandquantifytheflatssize.Thelogicdesignoptimizesthestoragecapabilitiesbykeepingonlytherail-wheelcontactechoanditsenvironment.Forthispurpose,awheeltrackingalgorithmhasbe

3、enimplemented.Itallowsreducingthedatavolumebycontrollingthedelaytimefrompulseemissiontotheacquisitionwindowfollowingtherunningwheel.Furthermore,sincesignalsaremaskedbytherailstructuralnoise,theyareprocessedbeforeexecutingthetrackingalgorithm.Thisworkpresentsthearchitectu
