4、tsinatimelymanner,masterandapplymoderneducationaltechnology,andconstantlyupdatetheirknowledgeinordertoadaptthemselvestotheneedsofalearningsociety.ThispapergivesabriefunderstandingoftheroleofteachersinWeb-basedEnglishteaching.I.multiplerolesofteachersinWeb-b
5、asedEnglishTeachingComparedwithtraditionalclassroomteaching,internetteachingisfreefromfixedpattern,fixedspaceandfixedtime.Itprovidesfulltimeandspaceforteachersandstudentstocommunicateindependentlyandfreely.Intheopenlearningmode,theroleof"knowledgesource"int
6、eacherrolewillbereplacedbynetworkpartly.Teacherscanreflecttheroleofteachersinrealschoolsandinvirtualnetworks,soteachers'rolesaremultiple.(I)organizersofthecurriculumThelearnerautonomyisdominatedbytheopennetworkeducationmodel,whichisdifferentfromthetradition
