3、tectedandpreliminarilyanalyzedinordertoinvestigatethepossibilityofapplyingtheAEtechniqueforthein-processmonitoringofanentirefriction-stir-welding(FSW)process.ExperirnemaJtestsarecarriedourusingahigh-speedrotatingtooltraversingontwo,butted6061aluminumalloyplateswiththreeequallyspacedgapsmadeoftwo
4、notchesalignedalongthebuttingjointoftheparts.Thewavelettransform(WT)isusedtodecomposetheAEsignalintovariousdiscreteseriesofsequencesoverdifferentfrequencybands.Therearesignificantsuddenchangesinthebandenergya(themomentwhentheprobepenetratesintoandpullsouroftheweldjoint,aswellaswhentheshouldermak
