3、teriorfluorescenceyielddistributionsinbiologicaltissuefromboundaryfluorescencemeasurements.Theimagereconstructionisposedasanoptimizationproblemwhichseeksatissueopticalpropertydistributionminimizing,forallilluminationpatternssimultaneously,aregularizeddifferencebe
4、tweentheobservedboundarymeasurementsoflightdistribu-tion,andtheboundarymeasurementspredictedfromaphysicalmodel.MultipleexcitationsourceilluminationpatternsaredescribedbylineandGaussiansourcesscanningthesimulatedtissuephantomsurfaceandbyemployingdiffractiveoptic
5、s-generatedpatterns.Multiplemeasurementdatasetsgeneratedbyscanningexcitationsourcesareprocessedsimultaneouslytogeneratetheinteriorfluorescencedistributionintissuebyimplementingthefluorescencetomographyalgorithminaparallelframeworksuitableformultiprocessorcomputer
6、s.Imagereconstructionsforsingleandmultiplefluorescenttargets(5mmdiameter)embeddedina512mlsimulatedtissuephantomaredemonstrated,withdepthsofthefluorescenttargetsfromtheilluminationplanebetween1cmto2cm.Weshowbothqualitativeandquantitativeimprovementsofouralgorithmo
