5、amineabusivesupervisionasaconditionunderwhichemployeeMachiavellianism(Mach)isactivatedandthusmorestronglypredictsunethicalbehavior.Weofferamorefine-grainedanalysisoftheMach–traitactivationprocessbyspecificallyexaminingtheinteractiveeffectofeachMachdimension(viz.,DistrustinOthers,DesireforControl

6、,DesireforStatus,andAmoralManipulation)andabusivesuper-visionontounethicalbehavior.Wecollectedmultisourcefielddatatotestourhypothesesacrosstwostudies.Wethentestedourtheoreticalmodelutilizinganexperimentaldesign.Theresultsofourfieldstudiesindicatethattheinteractionofamoralmanipulationandabusivesu

7、pervisionisthemostpredictiveofunethicalbehavior,whereasourexperimentalfindingsindicatethattheinteractionofdesireforcontrolandabusivesupervisionistheprimarypredictorofunethicalbehavior.ImplicationsfortheMachiavellianismlitera
