4、ng;Optimization;Radiators1.IntroductionRadiatorsarethemostpopularcentral-heatingemitters.Astheradiatorishotterthantheairsurroundingit,acertainamountofheatistransferredtotheairandthusthewaterexistsatalowertemperature.Ofthevariousdesignsavailableusuallyequippedwithconv
5、ectionfinstoimprovetheirheatoutput,arecommonindomestic,businessandindustrialenvironments.Theuseofcentral-heatingradiatorsisthemainformofdomesticheatinginthehomes.Althoughradiatorsareknownasradiator,mostoftheiroutputisbynaturalconvection.Sincetheaveragesurfacetemperat
6、ureofacentral-heatingradiatorisgenerallylessthan80 °C,thecontributionofradiativetransfertothetotalheattransferissmallerthanthatofthenaturalconvectionheattransfer.Becauseofthelowsurfacetemperatures,radiationheattransfertermintheenergybalanceequationscanbelinearizedint
7、hethermalanalysisofsucharadiator.Inthepresentpaper,assumingthatthepredominantmodesofheattransferareconductionandconvection,andtheeffectoftheradiationisignored,anapproximatemathematicalmodelisconstructedforfindingtemperaturedistributionandheattransferrate.Thedesignand
