3、allyintheUnitedStatesatgreaterthan$230billion.whenhundredsorthousandsofvehiclesaresharingthesameroadsatthesametime,leadingtothealltoofamiliarexperienceofcongestedtraffic.Trafficcongestionunderminesourqualityoflifeinthesamewayairpollutionunderminespublichealth.Around1990,roadtran
4、sportationprofessionalsbegantoapplythemtotrafficandroadmanagement.Thuswasborntheintelligenttransportationsystem(ITS).Startinginthelate1990s,ITSsystemsweredevelopedanddeployed。Indevelopedcountries,travelerstodayhaveaccesstosignifi-cantamountsofinformationabouttravelconditions,whe
5、thertheyaredrivingtheirownvehicleorridingonpublictransitsystems.Astheworldenergycrisis,andthewarandtheenergyconsumptionofoil--andarefullofenergy,inoneday,somedayitwilldisappearwithoutatrace.Oilisnotinresources.Soinoilconsumptionmustbecleanbeforefindingareplacement.Withthedevelop
6、mentofscienceandtechnologytheprogressofthesociety,peopleinventedtheelectriccar.Electriccarswillbecomethemostidealoftransportation.
