5、ersfindnomarketsfortheirproduce;thesavingsofmanyyearsinthousandsoffamiliesaregone. Moreimportant,ahostofunemployedcitizensfacethegrimproblemofexistence,andanequallygreatnumbertoilwithlittlereturn.Onlyafoolishoptimistcandenythedarkrealitiesofthemoment. Yetourdistresscomesfromnofailureo
6、fsubstance.Wearestrickenbynoplagueoflocusts.Comparedwiththeperilswhichourforefathersconqueredbecausetheybelievedandwerenotafraid,wehavestillmuchtobethankfulfor.Naturestilloffersherbountyandhumaneffortshavemultipliedit.Plentyisatourdoorstep,butageneroususeofitlanguishesintheverysightofth
