3、andyetourlifehascalledforthevigorandeffortwithoutwhichthemanlierandhardiervirtueswitheraway.Undersuchconditionsitwouldbeourownfaultifwefailed;andthesuccesswhichwehavehadinthepast,thesuccesswhichweconfidentlybelievethefuturewillbring,shouldcauseinusnofeelingofvainglory,but

6、andsmall,ourattitudemustbeoneofcordialandsincerefriendship.Wemustshownotonlyinourwords,butinourdeeds,thatweareearnestlydesirousofsecuringtheirgoodwillbyactingtowardtheminaspiritofjustandgenerousrecognitionofalltheirrights.Butjusticeandgenerosityinanation,asinanindividual,
7、countmoostwhenshownnotbytheweakbutbythestrong.Whileevercarefultorefrainfromwrongdoingothers,wemustbenolessinsistentthatwearenotwrongedourselves.Wewishpeace,butwewishthepeaceofjustice,thepeaceofrighteousness.WewishitBECausewethinkitisrightandnotbecauseweareafraid.Noweaknat
