4、tiontheory,EvenZohar’Spolysystemtheory,GeorgeSteiner’shermeneuticnotionsintranslation,JacquesDerrida’S‘‘disseminating’’and‘‘defferance'’ofmeaningtheory,etc.Eachtheorydiscussestranslationfromoneperspectiveandinvestigatesonlyoneorseveralaspectsoftranslatingactiv

5、ities.Noneofthesetheoriescanincorporateallaspectsoftranslatingactivitiesintheirsphereoftheory.Sincetherearevarioustheoriesinwesterntranslationstudyfield,controversiesareinevitable.Scholarsholdingonetheorymaycriticizethedemeritsofothertheories.Therearemanycases

6、toexemplifythis.Infact,translatingactivityissuchacomplexeventthatnotheorycaninvestigateallaspectsofit.Itisverynaturalthateachtheoryisnotperfectandhasdemerit.Therefore,incriticizingothertheories,peopleshouldkeepinmindthatone’Sowntheorycannotbeperfectandthattheo
