1、Non-restrictiveAttributiveClause限定性定语从句与非限定性定语从句限定性定语从句是句中不可缺少的组成部分，主句和从句之间不用逗号隔开非限定性定语从句是对主句先行词的补充说明，没有这种从句不影响主句意思完整,一般用逗号把主句和从句分开引导词：who,whom,whose,which,ofwhich,when,where等，不用that,不能省略引导词： 关系代词和关系副词，作宾语时一些关系代词可以省略一、Iwastheonlypersoninmyofficewhowasinvited.我是我们办公
2、室唯一被邀请的人。比较：2.Hisdog,whichwasveryold,becameillanddied.他的狗很老了,生病后就死了。3.YesterdayImetLiLei,whoseemedtobeverybusy.昨天我碰上李雷了,他好象很忙。限定性定语从句(如果把从句部分去掉,整个句子的含义就变了)非限定性定语从句(去掉从句,主句的意义仍然完整)非限定性定语从句(去掉从句,意义仍然完整)二、非限制性定语从句中的一些问题a.非限制性定语从句中,指物时用which而不用that。1)Football,whichisav
3、eryinterestinggame,isplayedallovertheworld.2)Allthebooksthere,whichhavebeautifulpicturesinthem,werewrittenbyhim.b.指人时主格用who,宾格用whom,物主格用whose(也可指物)。MissHowe,whomyoumetinthelibrary,isournewteacher.2)TheArabs,whoarefamousfortheirhorsesandcamels,usetheseanimalsforwork
4、andinsports.3)LiMing,whosemotherhasbeenillfortwodays,isabsentfromschooltoday.c.另外关系副词when(指时间),where(指地点)也可以引导非限制性定语从句(注意关系副词why不能引导非限制性定语从句)1)Helivesinthecity,wherethereisahightower.2)ThePeople’sRepublicofChinawasfoundedin1949,whenhewasborn.d.介词加关系代词也可以引导非限定性定语从句。
