5、insonhadnotstrayedfarfromAmherst.Thatspring,accompaniedbyhermotherandsister,shetookoneofherlongestandfarthesttripsawayfromhome.First,theyspentthreeweeksinWashington,whereherfatherwasrepresentingMassachusettsinCongress.ThentheywenttoPhiladelphiafortwoweekstovisitfamily.Between1858and1862
