3、gressionofthecondition.Todate,theliteraturesupportsamultifactorialmodelwiththelargest,mostdetailedtwinstudydemonstratingstrongenvironmentalcontributiontothedevelopmentofthecondition.Here,wepresentabriefreviewoftheneurological,immunological,andautonomicabnormalitiesinASDfocusing
4、onthecausativerolesofenvironmentalagentsandabnormal gut microbiota.Wepresentaworkinghypothesisattemptingtobringtogethertheinfluenceofenvironmentontheabnormalneurological,immunological,andneuroimmunologicalfunctionsandweexplaininbriefhowsuchpathophysiologycanleadto,and/orexacerb
5、ateASDsymptomatology.Atpresent,thereisalackofconsistentfindingsrelatingtotheneurobiologyof autism.Whilstwepostulatesuchvariablefindingsmayreflectthemarkedheterogeneityinclinicalpresentationandassuchthevariablefindingsmaybeofpathophysiologicalrelevance,moreresearchintotheneurobi
