3、UV),Difficulttobond,Polypropylene(PP),Polyethylene(PE),Poly(ethyleneterephthalate)(PET),Silicone,Acrylicester,Sealing,Potting,Adhesive,Adhesion1.INTRODUCTIONPolyethylene(PE),polypropylene(PP),andpoly(ethyleneterephthalate)(PET)aremostwidelyusedplasticsinmodernsocietyandreceivedmu
4、chmoreattentiontodayduetotheirharmonywiththeenvironmentandeaseofrecycle.Theunitassemblyoradhesionoftheseplasticssuchaslaminatingareoftenencountered,however,itisknowninthearttheyaredifficulttobondwitheachotherbyadhesivesbecauseoftheirlowsurfaceenergy,lowpolarity,andlittleornoporos
5、ity.Toimprovetheadhesionofthesematerials,surfacetreatments,suchasplasmatreatment,coronadischarge,chemicaloxidation,andprimercoatinghavebeenusedtoalterthesurface.Butthesetreatmentsareexpensiveandtimeconsuming,andarenotalwayspossible.Inapplicationsconcernedwiththesedifficulttobondm
6、aterials,hotmeltadhesive,cyanoacrylatewithprimersystem,two-componentepoxyresin,andtwo-componentacrylateadhesivehavebeendeveloped.Butthesesystemsarestillnotsatisfactorytomeettheneedsofhighspeedlinerequirement.Primertreatmentorpremixinghandlingfortwo-componentsystemsisalsonegativef
7、actorsinpracticalapplications.UVcurableresinsareone-componentandcanbecuredinsecondsmakeitagoodchoicepreferableinhighspeedlineproduction.However,therearefewreportsofUVcuringtyperesinsfocusingonthesedifficulttobondmaterials.Here,weconcentratethestudyonUVcurablesiliconetosearchforth
