2、oimmuneurticaria(CAU),asubgroupofchronicidiopathicurticaria(CIU),ischaracterizedbysevereandpersistentwhealsaccompaniedbyrednessanditching.Diagnosisisalmostcompletelybasedonclinicalsuspicionandtheresultsoftheautologousserumskintest(ASST).Objectives:Todeterminethefr
3、equencyofCAUandcomparetheclinicalandlaboratoryparametersofpatientswithpositiveandnegativeASSTresults.PatientsandMethods:Atotalof165patientswithchronicurticaria(CU)wereenrolled;31wereexcluded(knowncausesandpregnancy/breastfeeding),leaving134patientswithCIU.Aclinica
4、levaluationandroutineandspecificlaboratorytestswereperformed.Results:ThecauseofCUwasidentifiedin18.9%ofpatients;81.2%patientswereconsideredtohaveCIU.TheASSTresultwaspositivein39.6%ofpatientswithCIU,whohadmorefrequenturticariaattacksthanpatientswithanegativeASSTresul
5、t.Patientswithpositiveresultshadahigherurticariaactivityscorethanthosewithnegativeresults,althoughthedifferencewasnotstatisticallysignificant.Asforimmunologicalmarkers,theabsoluteeosinophilcountandserumimmunoglobulin(Ig)EtiterwerelowerinpatientswithapositiveASSTres
6、ultthaninthosewithanegativeASSTresult,although,again,thedifferencewasnotstatisticallysignificant(P=.07).AntithyroidantibodytiterandB-cellpercentagewerehigherinpatientswithapositiveASSTresultthaninthosewithanegativeresult,andthedifferencewasstatisticallysignificant(P
