3、atedusingtheRoss-LimodelbasedontheMCD43A1datawiththeobservedPOLDER-3BRDFdatafor9961pixelsselectedfromtheglobalPOLDER-3/PARASOLBRDFarchive.ItisfoundthattheRoss-2Limodelisabletosimulatethebidirectionalreflectanceofgroundobjectsefficiently.TheRandrootmeansquareerror(RMSE)ofsimulatedreflectan
4、ceare0.934and0.016,respectively.Onaverage,simulatedreflectanceis5.2%lowercomparedwiththe2POLDER-3data.However,theRoss-Limodelunderestimatesthereflectanceby14%forhotspots,withRequalto0.824andRMSEequalto0.07.Theerrorsinsimulatedreflectanceforhotspotsdependonlandcovertypes.Coniferousforestsh
5、avethelargestunderestimatesofsimulatedreflectanceforhotspots,followedbybroadleavedforests,grasslands,croplands,shrubsandbarrenlands.ThemodificationforthevolumekernelintheRoss-Limodelcannoticeablyimprovereflectancesimulationfor2hotspots(R=0.839,RMSE=0.043).ThereflectancesimulatedbytheRoss-L
6、imodelisrelativelyaccurateatnadiranddarkspot.ThedepartureofsimulatedreflectancefromthePOLDER-3observationsincreaseswiththeincreasesinsolarzenithandviewzenithangles.Forgrasslandsandcroplands,theaccuracyofsimulatedreflectancedecreaseswiththeincreaseinNDVI.Howev-er,forforestsandshrubs,thedi
