3、characterizationoftheflavonoidsinS．tonkinensis．anda1iquidchromatographicmethodwasemployedtosimultaneouslydeterminefivemajoractiveflavonoidsinthiscrudedrug．RESULTS：Seventeenflavonoidswereidentified，amongwhich，sevenwereunambiguouslyidentifiedastrifolirhizin，quercetin，formononetin，macekiain，kurarino

4、ne，sophoranone，andsophoranochromenebycomparingtheirretentiontimes．andUVandMSspectrawiththoseoftheauthenticcompounds，andtheothertenflavonoidsweretentativelyidentifiedbycomparingtheirUVandMS／MSspectrawiththoseofliteraturedata．Furthermore，fivema：ioractiveflavonoids，includingtrifolirhizin．quercetin，m
