3、lmedicineandthe2015NobelPrizeinPhysiologyorMedicine.In11December（BeijingTime），TuYouyoureceivedher2015NobelPrizeinPhysiologyorMedicineinSweden.TuisthefirstChineseNobellaureateinphysiologyormedicineandthefirstcitizenofthePeople'sRepublicofChinatoreceivetheNobelPrizeinnatura
4、lsciences.“TheProfessorofThreeNos”:nopostgraduatedegree,nostudyorresearchexperienceabroad,notamemberofanyChinesenationalacademies.Malariaresearch- artemisininArtemisinin,adrugthathassignificantlyreducedthedeathrateofmalariapatients,andsavedmillionsoflivesacrosstheglobe,es

6、eyfinallysucceeded.In1971,TuwasinspiredbymanyancientclassicworksonTCM.Usingapioneeringlow-temperaturemethod,Tuandherteamfirstextractedartemisininfromasweetwormwoodplant(青蒿).Forthesakeofdrugsafety,shehadpersonallytakingtests，whichledtoherliverpoisoning,butshestillkeptonwor
