4、cialAdministrativeRegionfordefence,andtomaintainthesovereignty,unityandterritorialintegrityoftheStateandthesecurityofMacao.Article2ThemilitaryforcesstationedbytheCentralPeople'sGovernmentintheMacaoSpecialAdministrativeRegionfordefenceshallbedesignatedastheMacaoGarrisonoftheChinesePeople'sLi

5、berationArmy(hereinafterreferredtoastheMacaoGarrison).TheMacaoGarrisonshallbesubjecttothedirectionoftheCentralMilitaryCommissionofthePeople'sRepublicofChina.ItscompositionandnumberofmembersshallbedeterminedaccordingtotheneedforthedefenceoftheMacaoSpecialAdministrativeRegion.TheMacaoGarrison
