3、ics:nucleicaciddetection(thegoldstandard)andserologicalanalysis.Inthisstudy,weevaluatedthedetectionofMERS-CoV-IgGinsuspectedandprovencasesofMERS-CoVinfection.Weenrolled174patients:113hadrespiratorysymptoms/suspectedMERS-CoVinfection,31hadconfirmedinfluenzaAorBinfection,23hadarecentconfirmedME
4、RS-CoVinfection,and7hadconfirmedMERS-CoVinfection1yearbefore.AllunderwentMERS-CoVRNAandMERS-CoV-IgGtesting.ThirtypatientswerefoundtobeMERS-CoVRNApositive;however,duringsero-logicalanalysis,only6(3.4%)patientswerepositiveforMERS-CoV-IgG,1(0.6%)patientwasequivocal,and167(96%)patientswerenegat
5、ive.Amongtheserologicalpositives,fourwererecentlyMERS-CoVRNApositiveandtwowereMERS-CoVRNAnegative.Nocross-reactivitytoinfluenzaAorBwasdetected.Basedonthelackofcorrelationbetweennucleicacidandserologicalanalysis,weconcludethatMERS-CoV-IgGtestingmaynotbesuitablefordiagnosingacuteinfectionores
