2、asedmobilenetworkintheupcomingyearsstemsfromtherapidgrowthofIPmultimediaapplicationtraffic.Suchdemandforanunprecedentednetworkcapacitywillnotbesupportedbyasamelevelgrowthoftherevenue・Consequently,tocoverfutureinvestmentsahighernetworkefficiencyinCAPEXandOPEXisneeded.Inadditiontoanexpectedincrea

3、seinefficiency,new,innovativeuser-centricservicesareneededtoexploitthevalueofthemobilenetwork:Thelatteraddressemergingresourcesinsidethenetworksuchasstorageandprocessingpowerthatdemandfornewmobilitymanagementandresourcemanagementsolutionstakingservicelocality,serviceroaming,virtualizationofreso

4、urcesanduserperceivedqualityintoaccount.I)MobileNetworksThisworkshopfocusesonthemobilecorenetwork.WetakeadeploymentofairinterfacessuchasLTE・Advancedforwellunderwayandfocusinconceptsandtechnologiesfortheadvancementofthecorenetwork.Contributionsaresoughtforallnetworklayersrangingfromhigh-speedtra

5、nsporttoservicedeliveryplatform.Withthisworkshop,weplantocontinuetheworkshopAMN2011tobeheldatICC2011inJunealsoin2012toestablishaworkshopseriesrightintimewhenindustrialandacademicresearchistakingshapeandprogressingtowardscommercialization.Theemergingvarietyofmultimediaservicesalsopushedbythehete

6、rogeneityofendsystemsrangingfromtraditionalmobilephonestohighresolutionportablesmartscreens,demandsfornew,efficientresourcemanagementschemessuchasmobilenetworkembeddedCDNsorcontentspecificmobilitymanagementschemes.Withavailableprocessingandstoragespaceinthenetwork,servicesdonotanylongerhavetore

7、mainstaticallyatacentralserver,butmaymoveclosertotheconsumer.Suchmigrationisnotlimitedtooneoperatordomain,blitserviceprogramsmayroambetweenoperatornetworks.Diversifiedresourcecontrolalsodemandsforanextgenerationofqualityofservicep
