2、o analyze the teaching material. This lesson is chosen from the section A of unit 3, Book 1, SEP Edition.Then I will illustrate the Analysis of the Students even though ss have learned the simple past tense,they may still feel hard to talk about past events by using the past prog
3、ressive tense. Thus,enough practice will be organized to help ss learn the new words, expressions and sentence structures. Next part is learning objectives: 1. Knowledge objectives. After the class, ss will understand the function of the past progressive tense and the basic meani
4、ng of new vocabulary and the sentence structures, such as have fun,report,die down,in a mess,making sure ,What were you doing when the rainstorm came? 2. Ability objectives. By the end of the lesson, ss will be better able to talk past events by using what they learned. 3. Emoti
5、onal objectives. During the class, ss’ interest in learning English will be aroused by talking about past events. Next, let’s move on to the key point and difficult point. The key point is to talk past events using the past progressive tense, such as what were you doing at the tim
