4、ationandinliterature.ItisanintriguinglanguagephenomenonintheChineselanguage.Theyplaysuchanimportantrolethatatranslatorcannotaffordtoneglectthem.1.2HistoricaloverviewofthestudiesonXiehouyuManyaChinesescholarshasconductedalargevarietyofresearchesonvariousaspectsofXhyandhas
5、scoredgreatachievement.Inthewinterof1920,acommitteewasestablishedforthestudyofChinesefolksycultureinBeiJingUniversity(北大歌谣研究会).SincethenXhy,asaformoffolksyculture,cametoscholars’attention.Especiallyduringthe1930s,therewasaheateddebateoverthenameforthistypeofcommonsayings
