5、eceivedtheirdiplomasintimesoftrialandupheaval,whentheveryfoundationsofourlives,theoldorderhasbeenshaken,theoldideasandinstitutionshavecrumbled,andanewgenerationiscalledupontoremaketheworld.itshouldbecleartoyoubynowthecategoryintowhichallofyoufall.forwegatherheretonightintimesofextraordinar
6、ydifficulty,forthenationandfortheworld.theeconomyremainsinthemidstofahistoricrecession,theworstweveseensincethegreatdepression;theresult,inpart,ofgreedandirresponsibilitythatrippledoutfromwallstreetandwashington,aswespentbeyondourmeansandfailedtomakehardchoices.(applause.)wereengagedintwow
