4、.0PurposeThoughtheoverallstudywasintendedtoevaluateowners’campgroundusagepatternsandattitudesandtowardavarietyofcampgroundissues,theportionofthestudyreportedinthisarticlefocusesontheamenitiesofferedatthecampground.Thispaperfirstlooksatavarietyofamenitiesofferedatthefacilitytodeterminetheowner
5、s’perceivedlevelofimportanceforeach.Additionally,thepapercomparesselectedownerattitudesbyvariousdescriptivecharacteristics(userage,gender,yearsasanowner,etc.)toinvestigatepossiblerelationships.Thecampgroundinthisstudy,locatednearSublette,Illinois,isoneofthelargestprivateownershipcampgroundsin
6、theU.S.with6,140hardenedcampsitesdesignedtoaccommodate“parkmodel”campers.Containedwithinthe1,756acresofthecampgroundare:70acresoflakes,40milesofpavedroadsand15milesofrecreationaltrails.Amenitiesinclude:pools/beach,recreation/activitycenters,fishing/boating,plannedrecreationalactivities,sports
