4、ves：ThecompanyBlueSkieswasformedin1997andstartedtoproduceprocessedtropicalfruitsfortheinternationalmarketinGhanaearly1998.Shortlythereafter,thecompanyinitiatedasupplychainmanagementprojectaimedatimprovingthequalityofitsprocessedfruit.Onetaskwastotakeahardlookattheorganizat

5、ionoftheprocessedfruitsupplychain.Theresultofthisanalysiswasthecompany’sdecisiontomovesomeprocessingactivitiestoGhana,tothebenefitofboththeenterpriseandthelocalcommunity(intheformofjobs).Themovebroughtmorevalue-addedactivitiestothecountry,andthequalityoftheproductwasalsoim

6、proved,astheprocessingwasbroughtclosertothegrowingarea.Approach：BlueSkiesinitiatedandguidedtheprojectdevelopmentprocess,translatingEuropeanmarketopportunitiesintoastrategicbusinessmodelfortheGhanaiansupplychainpartners.Qualityofprocessedfruitandtheentireproductionprocessis
