4、canrevealedhehadhadapulmonaryembolism,aconditionrelatedtoDVT.MrNewboldsufferedbraindamageanddiedinthehospitalonNovember16.Givingevidence,thesurgeonsaidhecouldnotexplainwhyMrNewboldhadbeenadmittedtoanorthopedicwardwhereitwasnotpolicytoadministerFragmin.Hedidnotknowwhyhismedicalteamhadnotgi
5、venMrNewboldthedruglater.YorkcoronerDonaldCoverdalesaid,“FromNovember3untilthedayoftheoperation,noFragminwasgiventoMrNewbold.Ifhehadbeenadmittedtoaconsultantvascularsurgeon’scarefromdayone,itisclearthatFragminwouldhavebeenprescribed.FragminreducestheriskofDVT,butdoesnoteliminateit.Itisimp
