3、olution.HewrotetheRightsofMan(1791),aguidetoEnlightenmentideas.DespitenotspeakingFrench,hewaselectedtotheFrenchNation-alConventionin1792.TheGirondistsregardedhimanally,so,theMontagnards,especiallyRobespierre,regardedhimanenemy.InDecemberof1793,hewasarrestedandimpriso
4、nedinParis,thenre-leasedin1794.HebecamenotoriousbecauseofTheAgeofReason(1793-94),thebookadvocateddeismandarguedagainstChristiandoc-trines.InFrance,healsowrotethepamphletAgrarianJustice(1795),dis-cussingtheoriginsofproperty,andintroducedtheconceptofaguaran-teedminimum
