3、eanimportantcomponentofinternationaltrade.Throughmorethanadecade'sdevelopment,theworldtradeineducationalservicesshowsthefollowingtrends:1.1DevelopedcountriesarestillthechiefexporterofeducationalservicesAtpresent,takingadvantageoftheireconomicstrengthandedu
4、cationalresources,themaindevelopedcountriesareattractingforeignstudentsfromeverycorneroftheworld,especiallyfromdevelopingcounties,andtheybecomethemainexportersofeducationalservices.TheEnglish-speakingcountrieswithatophighhumandevelopmentindexannouncedbythe
5、UnitedNationsDevelopmentPlanOfficearethemainexportersofeducationalservices,whilethemainexportersofstudentsarethecountrieswithanintermediatehumandevelopmentindexInthemid-1990s,ofthe16countrieswhoseuniversitiesandcollegeshadthelargestenrollmentofforeignstude
6、nts,theUSAgotthefirstplace;followingitweretheUK,Germany,FranceandAustralia.ExceptforItalyandLebanon,thenumberofoverseasuniversitystudentsinthese16countrieshadincreased,especiallyremarkableinAustralia,Britain,andJapan.InBritain,AustraliaandBelgium,thenumber
7、ofoverseasstudentsaccountedfor10%ofthetotaluniversityenrollment.Theproportionevenreachedashighas16.3%and22.4%inSwissandLebanese.InVatican'scollegesanduniversities,allstudentswereoverseasstudents.Aftermanyyears,development,tradeineducationaservices,asanimpo
