5、28.7Accepted7October2008(SD=8.76))with(n=75)andwithout(n=169)regularmeditativetraining).Asimplifiedversionofthebeckdepressioninventory(BDI-V)andthetraitsubscaleofthestate-trait-anxiety-inventory(STAI-T)wereusedfordeterminingcriterionvalidity.Aone-dimensional(a=.83)andan
6、alternativetwo-Keywords:dimensionalsolution(aF1=.77;aF2=.69)oftheFMI-14weretestedwithaconfirmatoryfactoranalysisMindfulnessDepressionandyieldedsuboptimalfitindices.Anexploratoryanalysisresultedinareduced8-itemversionoftheAnxietytwo-dimensionalsolutionwithbetterfitindices,
7、butlowinternalconsistency(aF1=.71;aF2=.64).TheFactor-structurefactorscouldbeidentifiedas‘‘Presence”(F1)and‘‘Acceptance”(F2).FurtherinvestigationrevealedthatMeasurementthesubstantialnegativerelationshipbetweenmindfulnessandanxietyanddepressioniscompletelyduetothe‘‘Accept
