2、ntsweremenwithameanageof62years.Primarylesionsweremostfrequentlylocatedinthemiddleofthoracicesophagusandwerelargerthan7em.Undifferentiatedcarcinomawasfoundin29%ofthepatients.Localspreadoftheprimarylesionstoneighboringstructureswasseenin34%.Lymphaticinvasion,andintra
3、muralmetastaseswithintheesophagus,aswellaslymphnodemetastases,werepredominant.Metastaticlesionswithinthestomachweremostlylocatedinthegastriccardia,werelessthan2cmormorethan4cminsize,andresembledsubmucosaltumors.Gastricmetastasesoccasionallyspreadfromthesubmucosatone
