6、ninstitutionstoinatimelymannertothesedemands,albeitwithdeclininggovernmentfunding,decliningsupportfrombusinessandprivatesectors,growingregulatorydemandsfortransparencyandaccountability(Hazelkorn,2007),decliningadmissionsratesduetoincreasingtuitionandupsurgeinhighschoolsdropouta

7、ndincreasingoperationalcosts(Thornton,2013).Howcaninstitutionsofhighereducationrespondeffectivelyandintimetoglobalchangesaffectingtheirenvironment?Thedecisionsrequiredfordealingwiththeserapidchangesarecomplexandmanyaremadewithoutrecoursetovastdatasourcesthathavebeengeneratedbut
