2、ics,thesetopicsaretreatedinavarietyofdifferentwaysinthetextbooksincommonusage.Theaimofthechap•teristhustoestablishtheperspectiveofthebook,thestandpointfromwhichthetopicsinthefollowingchapterswillbeviewed.ThetextbookbyBowley1isrecommendedtothenoviceasaclearly-
