3、consistsofametallichheightcontainerenclosingaseriesofverticalmetallicfins/lengthwiththePCMinbetween.ThematerialsconsideredNflnnumberofverticalfinsarealuminumforthecontainerandthefins,andPCMPhaseChangeMaterialAristowaxforthePCM.AsteadyheatloadisappliedTMSThermalManagemen

4、tSystemtothebottomofthecontainer,whilethetopisTtemperaturesubjectedtoconvectivecooling.EffectofvariationstthicknessingeometryandinsystemmassonthethermalWtotalwidthofthesystemperformance(definedasthetimefortheheatsourcetoreachaspecifiedmaximumtemperature)hasbeensubscript

5、sstudiedtoprovidedesignoptionsfordevelopingTMSstosuitvariousneeds.Byvaryingthenumberbbottomplateofverticalfins,ithasbeenfoundthatincreasingthefinverticalfinnumberoffinsleadsnotonlytoasignificanthfinhorizontalfinimprovementinsystemthermalperformance,butmmiddlesectionalso
