3、hisstudy,weconsideranoptimizationproblemarisingfromtoolchangeschedulingofanutformingprocess.Theprocesshasninepuncheswithdifferentlifespans.Theobjectiveofthestudyistooptimizethetoolchangetimingoftheninepunchesinordertomaximizetheproductionyield.Thepunchlifespanscanb
4、eextendedbymeansofTicoating,butcoatedpunchesaremoreexpensive.Wealsoevaluatewhetheritisworthusingcoatedpunches.Acostmodelisdevelopedforthenutformingprocess.Inthedevelopedcostmodel,weconsiderthereliabilityoftheninepunches,theperiodstakenforchangingpunches,scrapcostan
5、dproductionyield.Thecostfunctionfortheprocessiscomplex,andisdif®culttobesolvedusingconventionaloptimizationmethods.Therefore,geneticalgorithmsareusedtosolvetheproblems.WehavedevelopedourowngeneticalgorithmsusingJavaprogramsandappliedthedevelopedgeneticalgorithmstop
