3、hatincludebloating,pain,gas,anddiarrhea.AlthoughknownformanyKeywordsSmallintestinalbacterialovergrowth(SIBO).decades,thereisalackofconsensusandclarityregardingtheGlucosebreathtest.Lactulosebreathtest.Smallintestinalnaturalhistoryandmethodsforitsdiagnosis.Severaltestsaspirationand
4、culture.Antibiotics.Elementaldiet.havebeenproposed,includingtheglucosebreathtest,Promotilitydrugslactulosebreathtest,smallintestinalaspirationandculture,andothers.However,thereisalackofstandardizationofthesetestsandtheirinterpretation.TreatmentofSIBOremainsem-pirical;generally,br
5、oadspectrumantibioticsarerecommend-Introductionedfor2weeks(amoxicillin,rifaximin,ciprofloxacin,etc.)butevidencefortheiruseisfair.Clearly,thereisastrongneedtoSmallintestinalbacterialovergrowth(SIBO)isdefinedbythedevelopasystematicapproachforthemanagementofSIBOpresenceofabnormaland
6、excessivenumbersofbacteriaintheandtoperformmulticenterclinicaltrialsforthetreatmentofsmallintestine[1]associatedwithamyriadofsymptomsin-SIBO.Inthisreview,wewilldiscussthecurrentevidenceforcludingbloating,flatulence,abdominalpain,nausea,dyspep-thediagnosisandtreatmentofSIBO,whichi
7、ncludes(1)sia,fatigue,diarrhea,andconstipation[2].Malabsorption,elimination/modificationoftheunderlyingcauses,(2)induc-weightloss,anemia,anddeficiencyofvitaminsandironaretionofremission(antibioticsandelementaldiet),and(3)lessfrequentbutmoreseriousmanifestationsofSIBO[3].Multiplei
