6、owproduce-15pulsesonthefemtosecond(10s)timescale.Inthiswork,wemakeuseofthesedevelopmentstoconstructaKerr-lens-mode-lockedTi:sapphirefemtosecondlaser.1.1MotivationUltrashortpulselasersareusedinawiderangeofareas,bothscientificandindustrial.Thevalueofultrasho

7、rtpulselasersliesintheirtimeandfrequencydomainproperties.Inthetimedomain,theoutputconsistsofhighintensitypulsesonthefemtosecondtimescale.Inthefrequencydomain,thepulsetrainproducedbyamode-lockedlaserconsistsofabroadspectrumofequidistantmodeswithadefinedphas
