2、efracturestrengthofelectroceramics,however,haveshownthatitisnotalwaysso.Electroceramics,suchaszincoxide(ZnO)appliedforvaristors,aremainlydesignedwithrespecttoelectricalratherthanmechanicalproperties,andthustheyusuallycontainahighdegreeofporositywhichmayactastheoriginoffracture.Itissuspectedthatthe
3、complexnatureofdefect-microstructureinteractionandthehighdensityofporosityarepossiblereasonsforthisinsensitivitytostrengthscaling.Inordertoverifythishypothesis,moregenerally,todeliberatethescalingbehaviorofthefracturestrengthofelectroceramicscontaininghighdensitiesofflaws,theeffectsofpore/grain-si
